I was looking around the web just now and realised some interesting facts about the Eurobeat artists. You may get a shock if you see this, or perhaps you'd already have known these facts. But nevertheless, here's what I've been seeing:
1. Mega NRG Man = Derreck Simons = Vito = Mr.Groove... meaning that they are all the same person. His real name? Tomas Martin.
2. Dave Rodgers = The Big Brother = Aleph (this name was used when he first started doing Eurobeat - the old Eurobeat fans may have heard of this). His real name? Giancarlo Pasquini.
3. The real name of Vicky Vale, the female artist who sang Superdance, Let Me Be Your Baby and Shibuya Girl, is Clara Moroni.
4. Have you heard of The Spiders From Mars which sang the song Fly Me To The Moon and Back? It's a duo act of Karen (Rhythm of Loving) and his excellency Dave Rodgers.
5. Does the name Alessandra Mirka Gatti ring a bell? No? One clue - she's married to Dave Rodgers. Still no? Oh, she's Domino.
6. Happy Hour, the group with the song Give Me Heart and Soul, is a collaboration between Virginelle & Karen.
7. The voice of Wain L, the one who sang Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Don't You Wanna Be Free, the voice of Karen.
8. The mystery of whether Lolita and Virginelle is the same person after all is solved - yes indeed they are all the same person, which is Virginelle. One interesting fact though was that there was supposed to be another voice to Lolita before Virginelle and that artist's called Annerly Gordon (aka Whigfield and Ann Lee... believe it or not). Virginelle started taking over after Annerly decided to go into something else.
9. Go Go Girls = Virginelle & Lolita. But by virtue of the last point, it's technically Virginelle.
10. The singer of Running in the 90s and Golden Age - Max Coveri, is actually D.Essex.
11. Franz Tornado = Joe Banana = Joe D. Toaster = Garcon.
12. Cindy (Jammin Spanish Men) = Baby Gold (Traffic in my Bed)
13. Dusty (Crazy for Love) = Fastway (777)
14. Mark Farina seems an unfamiliar name, right? He was one of the big stars of Eurobeat during the early Eurobeat age. And for the information, the vocals of Ken Martin (Sexy Sexy Sexy) apparently belonged to Mark Farina.
So much for now - if I happen to come across any more such stuffs I'll add them in. Cheers!
