I know we've just gone through what may be the first ever major parapara event planned by the paralists for the paralists. As with the previous bash, please give freely your comments, constructive criticism and various suggestions for us to make the next event a better one, thank you! =) Don't worry about being frank, as long as you back up your statements. We just want to know how we can improve, and where to improve in!
[glow=blue,2,300]P/S:[/glow] Posts that do not follow this thread's topic will be deleted... sorry for the harshness, but in order to keep this thread strictly on the same track, I need to do this. I don't want the thread to take a detour into yet another chatting thread, thanks... I hope yuo guys understand! =)

from the beginning to the end, everything goes smoothly.... but i can't really see there is much crowd...... and remember the ang mos'? they are making a fool out of themselves.... wahahaha......... eh... but honestly, i guess the MC's english has to be improved. regarding the size of the stage and floor, i have no problem with that..... last but not least..... i hope i can learn more different songs from the teaching session......
Overall: 4 put of 5 stars....

Well overall the bash was a success even though my mood was dampened when I saw ISP performing their routine. You copied my starting routine from the mad dance finals(TOBY!!!!!You ass!!!!I'll kill you!!!!) .Then my mood was dropping when those buncha ang moh lamers that breakdance came to irritate us!Screw those lousy sonofa*censored*!But the dancing started to die out as time went on and it kinda spoiled the mood.Well I guess everyone could be tired form dancing the songs nonstop so they took a break.Oh yeah, there was no beverage supplied.Damn I was thirsty after the event.Anyway it was a good job.

The event was overall very smooth lor... Maybe nxt time instad of putting all the performances by the various groups all at one time, can sort of spread them out... like first group perform first, den proceed on to little mass dance, b4 the 2nd group performance.. juz a suggestion

Allow me to clarify - as far as I'm concerned there wasnt any script prepared for the MCs so for something that requires us to come out and talk without preparation I think the level of grammatical excellence has to be foregone somewhat - after all it was never easy to come up with something impromtu to talk and to talk like the Queen. But then again I think we made ourselves understood, didn't we?
Further proof to one undisputable fact - The army destroys your English.

It went well except that the crowd are beri little. All i c is the same paralists who we have already known each other + their family and a small grp of passer-bys. I tink should put some notices to the public b4 the event, so as to let more plp more abt it. Besides this, i tink it is a gd event.

The mindset of Singaporeans will not change. No matter what happens... they always (and will continue to) view Para Para as an arcade game that will die out just like any others. But I think if we can hold such events regularly that will help to change their mindset. It took HK a long time to get everyone getting into Para Para, but then again, the guys there took a more pro-active approach to promote the thing so it became a success. Here in Singapore... well let's just say that having people watching us dance is a good thing for a start - at least that beats hiding indoors at a certain place in Orchard on Saturday afternoons. I always believe Para Para is a street dance, not something to hide indoors. If we can have this more often, the curious on-lookers may eventually become part of us.
And of course I really love the part we made those idiots look like... erm... complete idiots... Captain Fantastic has become my favourite! *LOL* ;D

This is a very successful event~! It's great to see all the PP groups dancin' in 1 event... Best of all is that most of the performances r very creative And to be optimistic, as 1 of the audience, I think I should give extra points for the complete humiliation of those Ang Mos... whahaha~! R they freestylers, or breakdancers?... dunno who cares? But i have a question here: Were they requestin' to go up on stage, or u guys in charge were interested on how they do their stupid act? I'll give a rate: 7(+2) / 10 It shall be perfect if more songs were taught in the teachin' session.

They were going upstage before we can even stop them... so we let the show go on... must thank SQ for that wonderful idea to let them dance (?) and made complete fools out of themselves... they were never seen again after that humiliation we dished out to them. For me it's very simple - you stay out of our game, we stay out of yours. If you wanna be hostile or be a moron, we'll make sure you get what you deserve. I think that's only fair, rather than taking in insults directed at Paralists without making noise.
As far as I'm concerned, I think the event was great, cos we had the support from the local community. I think that is the most important first and foremost, because if even the local community doesnt want to support such events, who will?

to me, the event is great.. Everything sorta of just click together. Pple just dance when they heard familar songs.. Uhmm.. Great job on the teaching session. As for what's lacking... I hope got free drinks.. (plain old water will b good enough) Then.. Uhmm. Mayb barricade the area for dancing floor like what KC had suggested... and do try to give more publicity to the event... Perhaps NYC can help? just wanna say its an event that have really nothing much to pick (trouble) abt... everything is not too bad..

well, i do agree that it's not easy to be a good MC. maybe it's your first time, but i should be thankful that there's a MC anyway..... really hope that there are more para events, and who knows...... maybe we may even get sponsers from various companies trying to promote para para.... kekekeke

Ya..... I agree with Kuku.... But the most important thing to do, which i feel, is to publish such events to the public, like the bubble thing para dance. Since it is held at the NYC, which is away from the busiest part of orchard road, do let them noe that there is such event going on, so that people will come and have a look.
Some people dont even noe that the place is called NYC. ( I saw a couple when i go to cine during the break, then the female stop to c what happened then she sae "Orrr...... NYC event" then they juz walk away)

Sometimes talk is really easy, but once you think about the constrains it sure made planning of such events a mammoth task... it wasn't like we didn't want to publicize the event, but places which would be good to promote such events (eg arcades, shopping centres), but they turn it flat down the moment we approach them so what more can we say?
I'm not saying we are wonderful or something, but at least we can make do with some appreciation rather than 'what it could have been if...' kind of thing, if you know what I mean. As for those who didn't know where Youth Park is, or don't even know what Youth Park is, I suggest they go grab the street directory and read.
